Prohibitions on eating carrion and blood

ölü heyvan

Our holy book, the Qur’an, forbids us to eat the flesh and blood of dead animals. Praise be to Allah, we are careful with this and we follow ruling. But in some religions there is not such a ruling, so people of that religion eat it. Remember that in Islam, it is permissible to eat carrion only when you are helpless, and to eat as much as you can survive. When you read this article about carrion, you will see the beauties of Islam again. So, if an animal dies on its own, all the toxins, germs, bacteria, and viruses from the intestines, muscles, glands, and tissues pass into the bloodstream quickly. Considering that the blood of a dead animal remains inside, it means that poisoned blood enters all the organs and muscles, and that if we eat it, we will actually be eating poisoned meat. In addition, today in our pharmacies they sell drugs that contain blood which is used in the treatment of anemia. Don’t forget that these drugs are also made from clotted blood and poisoned with toxins. We need to be careful with all that. Try to eat what Allah has commanded to be lawful (halal), so that darkness does not fall on your hearts.

As a conclusion, I would like to also  mention that there is wisdom in cutting animals towards the qiblah. There is always gravitation on the qiblah side, so more blood flows from animals slaughtered in that direction and the meat of such animals is more purified than that of animals which are slaughtered otherwise.
