I remember that during the times of the Soviet Union, our so-called scientists used to say that as science had developed, the religion would remain as source of ignorance. But today we see that science is evolving day by day, and this development is reflected in our Holy Scripture. As the science progresses, we become more aware of the Qur’an, and we become more aware, we are amazed, and in the end we find no other word but “SubhanAllah” (“Allah is Exalted”)[14].
Recently, a Jewish scholar named Robert Gillham converted to Islam. This scientist is a world-class embryologist who won the Nobel Prize. The work of this scientist was devoted to the study of the development of the fetus in the womb. At the end of the study, the scientist concluded that if a man and a woman are divorced, after each month, the woman’s uterus is cleared of 25-30 percent of the remnants of male sperm. So, it takes 3 or 4 months for a complete cleanse. The scholar who read this fact in the Qur’an became a Muslim because the results he had been working on for years were clearly written in the Qur’an.

The scientist continued his research, came to a Muslim province in Africa, studied the smears of women from uterus, and found that Muslim women were pure, and did not find any mixture other than sperm belonging to their husbands. Then he examined his wife and was shocked that the woman had the remains of 3 men’s sperm in her womb. He then performed a genetic analysis of his children and found that only one in three children was his own.
Let me tell you another interesting story. Again, a Jewish cleric who converted to Islam clarified why he had become a Muslim saying, “I am convinced that the Qur’an is the only book that came to mankind from Allah and has not been changed by humans.”
The scholar who studied Surat al-Tabbat says that Surat al-Tabbat mentions Abu Lahab and clearly states that Abu Lahab and his wife would be in Hell.
The clerc investigates that this surah was revealed while Abu Lahab was still alive, and that Abu Lahab lived exactly 8 years after this surah. This means that Allah, Who sent us the Qur’an, knew that Abu Lahab would die a disbeliever; otherwise Abu Lahab would have pretended to accept Islam just to prove to everyone that the Surah was wrong.
Yes, Abu Lahab first had wounds all over his body. Then the wounds began to rot and give off a bad odor. It smelled so bad that no one could approach him. They threw his food in through the window and ran away. It smelled so bad after he died that no one washed the corpse nor did they bury it, but demolished his house instead when his corpse was inside.
Therefore, sometimes we have to sit down and think who we are, where we have come from and where we are going.
