Cinnamon – It is a precious blessing

Cinnamon is a blessing which has a countless number of benefits. Its amazing taste and sedative odor is nerve-soothing. Unfortunately, cinnamon is not used much in the Azerbaijani cuisine. Perhaps, it is because it does not grow in our country. But although it does not grow here, I think cinnamon will become a favorite type of food for those who are going to read its benefits below.

The wonderful aroma of cinnamon absorbs the smell of the mouth. Don’t think that after using cinnamon, your mouth will smell cinnamon for a while and then stop. Cinnamon also treats the smell of the mouth. Cinnamon reduces the diabetes in blood; therefore, it should be diabetics’ favorite food. Whoever has diabetes can add a teaspoon of cinnamon either to their food or their tea or they can put it in their mouths and drink a glass of water over it. They can always do it. Cinnamon increases sexual desire. In order for it to increase sexual desire in both men and women, it ought to be used in the following way:

Mix 150 grams of cinnamon powder and 50 grams of ginger powder with one kilo of chestnut honey, and eat a teaspoon of it an hour before meals 3 times a day. We can also name it cinnamon paste.

If there is high cholesterol, lipids, triglycerides, ALT, AST, bilirubin etc. in the blood, you will see the perfect effect of it if you eat it three times a day. Iron, cellulose, coumarin and other minerals that cinnamon contains are the source of antioxidants. These substances protect us from cancer, so it should be a type of food used by patients of cancer daily.  Cinnamon has plenty of calcium inside. It should be the favorite food for ladies who have bone marrow, excessive sweating, and who go through menopause. Cinnamon paste is healing for those who suffer from osteoporosis (bone melting).  Cinnamon paste is indispensible for those whose bodies, especially hands and feet are constantly cold and freezing, and whose hands swell and turn blue in case of slight cold. They should eat a teaspoon of it or mix it with a glass of water and drink it an hour before meals 3 times a day, and they should do it for at least one month. Those who suffer from constant diarrhea can put one teaspoon of cinnamon powder in their mouths every morning over an empty stomach and drink a glass of water over it. Or in order to make it more effective, prepare a glass of kissel, add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder to a glass of kissel, mix them together and drink the mixture over an empty stomach.

Cinnamon is a natural painkiller

Cinnamon also increases the production of hormones of happiness in our bodies. The hormones of happiness are natural painkillers in the body. It means that cinnamon consumers feel pains less than non-consumers. Cinnamon is natural painkiller. Mix a teaspoon of cinnamon powder with a tablespoon of honey and add 2 tablespoons of water. As soon as you rub it on the aching joints, it will take away the joint pains. It has the same effect when it is applied on rash and acne. It can even be applied on the face. It eliminates spots and acne on the face. It mustn’t be kept on the face for more than 30 minutes. If you have memory weakness, inattentiveness and severe headaches, use the cinnamon paste. This paste prevents from diseases like Alzheimer and sclerosis. I prepare cinnamon tea not from the cinnamon powder, but from the cinnamon peel itself. Then the tea becomes both clearer and more pleasant. For example, put one peel of cinnamon, half of the size of cinnamon ginger root (a fresh one is more delicious and aromatic) and Astara tea to taste and mix them in a teapot with the capacity of 3 glasses of water. Brew it for 10 minutes and drink it during the day. This tea is very useful for those who suffer from cough, chronic bronchitis, stomach pain, gastritis, colitis and flatulence. Some people may think that ginger can harm gastritis. But although it is bitter, as soon as one drinks half of this tea, stomach burn and pains will be gone. This tea should be drunk for one month in case of enuresis (wetting the bed while sleeping), prolongation or no menstruation in women and rheumatism. People who experience hair loss are supposed to eat a full teaspoon of cinnamon paste and mix a tablespoon of honey and a full teaspoon of cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of black cumin oil and apply it on the bottom of hair. You can do it an hour before washing your hair, twice a week and 10 times in total. You will feel the effect immediately. Mix a tablespoon of cinnamon powder with 100 grams of black cumin oil and boil it slightly on a low fire, filter it into a container, close it tightly and store it. Use this oil for rheumatic pains, joint pains, muscle contractions, back pains, as well as to rub paralyzed muscles and to massage back and neck osteochondrosis once a day. This oil helps to alleviate pains. You should not continue if you have allergies after using cinnamon. Pregnant ladies can take cinnamon in small quantities. In case of overdosing, it can decrease the level of sugar in blood.
