Bakmaz (doshab) – its benefits and preparation (Iron in bakmaz is 8 times more than that in honey.)

            The reason why I specially mentioned that bakmaz contains iron 8 times more than honey does right after the title is that you should take bakmaz for serious when you have problems like anemia, mineral deficiency, hair loss and others. Whatever we have inherited from our ancestors is useful and necessary. The reason I am writing this article is that these days, people are trying to be convinced on social networks that bakmaz is useless. They claim that as bakmaz boils, its content breaks down; as a result, all the vitamins and minerals run out, it causes cancer etc. I kindly request the people who share such articles to substantiate their thoughts, and I will write about benefits of bakmaz in response to their claims. Bakmaz is a total source of minerals. If you see someone with a pale face and anemia, tell him to drink one tablespoon of bakmaz 3 times a day before meals and you will see how that person will change in just 15-20 days. Just imagine that drinking a tablespoon of mulberry bakmaz is equivalent to eating a glass of mulberries; that is, minerals which are inside one glass are accumulated in one tablespoon. Of course, I agree that bakmaz can never replace fresh fruit because some vitamins, which are soluble in water, break down whereas vitamins and minerals which are inside oil never break down.

            For some of its features, bakmaz is superior to fruit. For instance, mulberries can be eaten only 15-20 days, but mulberry bakmaz can be used all year round. Bakmaz is effective for anemia, cold, bronchitis, liver diseases, fatigue, immune weakness, bone bending and melting (osteoporosis in calcium deficiency) and mouth and throat wounds (keep doshab in your mouth for a while, and then swallow it). As mulberry bakmaz is high in zinc, it is very useful for those with prostate problems. Bakmaz is also a perfect nutrient for our growing children since they are more in need of minerals. It removes fat from the inside of blood vessels, thus facilitating better functioning of the heart and liver.

Benefits of date doshab

            There is abundance of dates growing in Azerbaijan; however, most of them are spoiled without use. If we know the benefits of date bakmaz and make our people love it, at least, they will enjoy its benefits. Iodine contained in date doshab cannot be found in any other type of doshab. There is nothing better than date doshab if you have dry skin, nervousness and heart rate disorders and grow thin.

            One of the many types of doshab that we have is the grape doshab.  We can confidently say that it is a total source of energy and a friend of the liver. It is also useful for spleen growth. People with diabetes should use very little of doshab, and it would be better for them to use sour pomegranate bakmaz.

Benefits of mulberry doshab

            Mulberry bakmaz is a frequently used type of bakmaz and it is considered the king of all sorts of it. It enriches mother milk, and it is useful for both stones and inflammation in kidneys and urethra. Furthermore, it calms down the nerves, accelerates brain development in children, and it is very useful not only for intestinal wounds, but also for lung diseases. You can mix bakmaz with water and drink it. And you can also drink a tablespoon of it 3 times a day before meals. Some people drink 100 grams of bakmaz at once on an empty stomach in the morning. It is not a problem either. You can drink it that way, too. When preparing bakmaz, you are either supposed to collect fruit, extract its juice and then boil it or brew and boil it in water and then filter it. During the process, it is necessary to put some white soil or gypsum soil in it, and if it is not available, to put some soda in it so that its content doesn’t acidify and becomes more effective.
