Although oleander is a very poisonous plant, it can be found in all the streets of Baku because it is resistant to all climatic conditions.
This plant is called willow flower in Azerbaijan because its leaves look like willow trees. In fact, the planting of such plants near schools and kindergartens should be banned.
It is not advisable to touch the flowers and twigs of this plant; it is especially important to explain to children to stay away from it. Oleander is rich in cardiac glucosides which are used to make heart medicine only after it is cleansed of toxins.
