Sometimes there are so many blessings in things we do not like that we regret not eating them for such a long time when we look back.

The existence of sprats in the Caspian Sea is a blessing for us. It is a quite useful nutrient for growing children, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and elderly aged people.

Source of phosphorus

Sprats contain several times more phosphorus than other species of fish: in every 100 grams about 300 mg. And this is 3 times more than our daily norm. In addition to the fact that phosphorus is an indispensible element for the development of the baby’s brain in a pregnant woman, it is the second necessary mineral for the growing body after calcium.

Phosphorus is a mineral which can be found in every tissue. There is approximately 1 kilogram of phosphorus in 100 kilogram man. And 80 percent of it is in bones and teeth. Phosphorus plays an active role in the formation of protein and carbohydrate, as well as developing the brain.

In children with phosphorus deficiency, there may be cases of bone bending, weight loss, weakness in eyes and so on. However, do not rush to buy pills which contain phosphorus because excessive phosphorus is also a problem.

Regardless how much of sprat you eat, you will never have excessive phosphorus in your body. But you will if you take pills. Therefore, we need to eat natural nutrients. Fried sprats are very delicious. Take out their internal organs and eat them together with their heads and bones. They make good fish cakes, too. Make your children love sprats which are of great benefit to them.         Besides, there are minerals like 300 mg of calcium (daily norm is 1200), 45 mg of magnesium (daily norm is 280 mg) in every 100 grams of this fish. Try to eat fish 2-3 times a day. Omega-3 fatty acids inside fish are essential for the brain to work properly. It protects the human from mental retardation which arises as a result of aging and clarifies the thinking.
