“By the fig and the olive” (Surah At-Tin, Verse 1)

Someone gave a fig to our Prophet (Peace and Blessing be upon him) and after receiving it, he said: “If I was asked what fruit came down from Heaven, I would say the fig.”

Yes, figs are truly blessed trees, and they have inexhaustible benefits. White Absheron figs are sold along the way to Baku villages which have a great taste and benefits.

As the fig is one of the richest fruits in fiber, it is considered to be the best natural remedy that normalizes the function of the stomach and intestines and removes toxins. Figs have the ability to lower the level of harmful cholesterol in a short time for which we can say that figs are “friends” of our heart. Potassium in figs increases the heart rate, so protects us from heart attacks. Figs contain a substance called phenol. Although synthetic phenol is toxic, the phenol in figs does not harm the body, but kills microorganisms that parasitize the stomach and intestines. For this reason, figs can be used to treat diseases caused by giardiasis and other microorganisms. Dried figs contain Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, which are not produced by the human body. Thanks to these acids, our cardiovascular systems and our brain work perfectly.

Figs are ideal for those who want to lose weight since they do not contain fat. Thanks to its light laxative ability, it cleanses the toxins in the intestines and prevents obesity.

Figs have the most minerals of all fruits. 50 grams of figs contain 280 mg of potassium, 60 mg of calcium and 1.5 grams of iron. One of the best foods to restore the body after a long illness is figs. Just like fresh ones, dried figs also retain their mineral content and beneficial properties.

Some patients have too much calcium in their blood and too little in their bones, which means that the bones’ ability to absorb calcium is impaired. In this case, the effect of figs is very high because the calcium in it is easily and completely absorbed by the body.

Also, the ratio of iron to copper in figs is 2: 1, which ensures better absorption of iron.

For children and adults with diseases of the upper respiratory tract, such as bronchitis, phlegm cough and hoarseness, 5-6 dried figs are thrown into 300 grams of milk, boiled for 5 minutes and drunk slowly during the day.

The appearance of the fig fruit, split in half, is very similar to the structure of the female ovary. Figs have been shown to accelerate the process of follicle maturation in women, thereby treating female infertility.

Figs also significantly increase the amount of active sperm in men, thereby preventing male infertility.

Put dried figs in olive oil in the morning, eat before lunch. In the evening, eat what you put in the afternoon, and in the morning, eat what you put in the evening before. Dried figs eaten in this way for 1 month treat diseases such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma, gastric ulcer, gastritis, intestinal ulcers, hemorrhoid, constipation, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, prostatitis, esophagitis (esophageal ulcer), bile stasis and pancreatitis.

Figs increase breast milk, relieve muscle cramps, reduce high blood pressure. If we use dried figs instead of sugar when drinking tea, our body will be healthy.
