In times of war, medicine is in great demand. Injuries and poor hygiene lead to a number of diseases. Some tips on medicinal plants growing in our country can be useful for soldiers, combatants and those on the front lines.

1.     Nettle – has a hemostatic effect when crushed and applied to the wound during bleeding.

2.     Shepherd’s purse – too much eating stops internal bleeding.

3.     Plantain – for purulent wounds that heal late or do not heal, fresh leaves are crushed and placed in the area and tied. In this case, the wounds heal quickly.

4.     Camel’s thorn – in case of diarrhea during gastrointestinal disorders, drinking its infusion to collect the intestines quickly stops diarrhea.

5.     Thyme – Drinking thyme tea during a cold removes pathogens from the body both through urine and sweat.

6.     Oak bark – the throat is gargled with it after cooking it in water to cure incurable mouth and throat ulcers. When soaked on hemorrhoid without cooking, the swollen knots shrink and the pain is reduced.

7.      Chamomile – freshly picked flowers can cure gastrointestinal cramps, gastritis and colitis.

8.     Licorice root – in case of frequent illnesses, drinking licorice root boiled in 2 cups of water for 5 minutes strengthens the immune system.

9.      Elecampane – when coughing, boiling its roots in water for 5 minutes and drinking it cleanses the chest, relieves cough and warms the body.

10. Melissa – tea brewed in water is useful for all nervous disorders, insomnia and depression.

In conclusion, I’d like to mention once again that these plants grow in all parts of Azerbaijan and can be used by everyone.
