Should we walk during knee pain or not?

There is no exact treatment for knee pain, i.e. arthrosis and arthritis.

While some doctors advise their patients to walk slowly, others strictly forbid it. This prohibition is justified by the fact that when walking, the joints rub against each other which aggravates the problem. You will find the answer to this question if you read this article till the end.

One day an old Turk came to me. He had some complaints. We talked, and as he was leaving, he told me the following: “Twenty years ago, my wife and I started having knee pain, and we went to the doctor, and he did an X-ray and said we both had osteoarthritis in our knee. He prescribed ointments and medicines for both of us, and then said that these medicines are for pain relief, that is, they wouldn’t cure us. He said we should not walk because as we walked, the joints would rub against each other and become more damaged. I told the doctor that I was a carpenter and that if I didn’t work, we would starve to death, but my wife was a housewife, so it was possible for her not walk. Thus, 2 years have passed. 2 years later, my wife’s legs completely lost their ability to walk whereas mine recovered. I became very angry and we went to the same doctor again. After listening to us, the doctor showed us a book. That book recommended complete inactivity for the treatment of osteoarthritis.
