One day we had such an incident at work. 4 repairmen were working together. One of them came and claimed that the other repairmen stole 200 manats from his pocket, and they swore that they did not know. I said, if Allah wills, I will solve this case. I remembered the decisions made by Ali ibn Abi Talib in such cases, and the issue was resolved very easily. First, I asked the person whose money was stolen where he had gotten the money, and he said that he had borrowed it. I told him to call the person he had borrowed the money from if he was there or to give his phone number if he was not and I would talk myself. And I asked that person where, what time and how much money he had lent. So, I wrote exactly what this man said and had him sign it. Then I called the lender. I asked him these questions and heard completely opposite answers. So the man slandered his colleagues. In the end, he began to cry as if he was in need, that’s why he had to do so, but we fired him. Because the people he slandered were not better-off than him. Remember that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) had hundreds of ideas that would clarify such issues, and I would bring them to your attention from time to time.
